TOOLS
1 x 2.5mm Allen Key (Wrench)
1 x 4mm Star Key (Wrench)

DISASSEMBLY
Firstly you will need to remove the magazine, then I like to remove the bolt (you don't have to just personal preference). To remove the bolt depress the bolt release button located on the left hand side of the Tikka T3.

Once they are put aside there are two hex head bolts that need to be removed with the 4mm Allen Key (wrench), these two bolts are what secure the working parts to the stock of your rifle.

Remembering Tikka (Made by SAKO) has very precise engineering and therefore the action and barrel have a very tight fit into the stock, just lever gently one end at a time until coming free.

ADJUSTING THE TRIGGER
After removing the action and barrel from the stock, you are now able to take a look at the Tikka T3 Trigger Mechanism. At the front of the Tikka T3 Mechanism you will see two Hex Bolts one rather large and the other very small and is perpendicular (90 degrees) with the larger.
Place your 2.5mm Allen Key (Wrench) into the smaller bolt. Rotating bolt clockwise increases trigger pull and naturally rotating the bolt to the left decreases it.

Trigger Mechanism |
From factory the Tikka T3 Trigger is set at 3lb pull, you can adjust it to as high as 4lb and as low as 2lb. The large Hex Bolt is there for two reasons, 1: It secures the Trigger Mechanism to your Tikka T3's action and 2: It prevents the Trigger Adjustment bolt being wound below 2lb of pressure and out of the mechanism housing.
REASSEMBLY
Once you have your Tikka T3 Trigger set where you want it you are ready for reassembling. When placing your Action and Barrel back onto the stock be mindful of the location of the recoil lug and housing. Once everything is lined up you need to gently work the Action and Barrel back into the stock.

Placing action into stock |
Before placing the 4mm Hex Bolts back into the stock note the two different sizes of the bolts, the shorter bolt is for the front and the longer for the rear.
Size difference in hex bolts |
Tighten the two hex bolts in stages to ensure the best seating of the Action into the stock. You can do this by doing up the two bolts until they take tension, then turn the rear bolt a turn then the front a turn so on until they are both tightened up.
Insert the Tikka's bolt and then the Magazine, and you are ready to head down the range and test out your new trigger pull weight.
